Fire risk assessment services that protect your business

Whether you run a shop, office, care home or industrial site, if people use your premises, you’re legally required to have a fire risk assessment in place and a clear system for reporting incidents swiftly.

For most business owners, the thought of everything they’ve built going up in flames is unthinkable. That’s why this isn’t optional, it’s your legal duty under UK law. But without the right expertise, staying compliant can be a real challenge. Get it wrong, and you risk unlimited fines, prosecution, or even permanent closure.

That’s where we come in as expert UK health & safety business consultants. Our BAFE-certified fire risk assessment service supports businesses across all types of environments. From low-risk offices to high-risk, complex sites.

      FAQs

As an employer, you are. Under UK law (the Regulatory Reform [Fire Safety] Order 2005), it falls on a "Responsible Person". For businesses, this means the employer and/or anyone with control over premises. You have a duty of care to provide a safe working environment, which means the areas under your control for all members of staff.

In the UK, the Fire and Rescue Authority (FRA) is the official body that enforced safety legislation. However, the HSE (Health and Safety Executive) also enforces safety standards for certain sectors such as construction.

Under UK law, the training must cover core awareness for all employees. Including:

      • Fire prevention awareness

      • How to raise the alarm

      • Emergency evacuation procedures

      • Containment strategies

      • Escape routes

      • Correct responses for hearing a fire alarm

It's a methodical inspection of your workplace to identify potential fire risks, understanding who is at risk, and establishing the safety measures you need.

It's the Responsible Person, which is you (as the employer). You must ensure a safe, suitable evaluation of your business is undertaken and documented in writing. This assessment holds legal accountability for UK fire safety standards and you must review and update your assessment regularly. You can get external support to assist with your responsibilities.

The cost varies as it depends on the size of your business and the complexity of the requirements. Remember, this is a legal requirement under UK law. You can speak to our team for a free consultation, we'll be happy to provide a free quote tailored to your organization: 0345 226 8393.
