This interactive course can be delivered to all staff to raise awareness across your organisation or it can be tailored to managers only.

Who will deliver the training?

Our management training is delivered by highly-experienced and qualified HR practitioners with genuine ‘hands-on’ practical experience of supporting employers all over the UK with their HR requirements.

What are the benefits?

  • Delegates will develop their awareness of workplace discrimination and understand how they can demonstrate appropriate, positive and inclusive behaviours.
  • Managers will understand their legal duties in relation to preventing discrimination and what action can be taken against employees who infringe equality and diversity principles. They will be more confident in preventing or addressing inappropriate behaviour.
  • The organisation will have a more knowledgeable workforce, less likely to demonstrate discriminatory behaviours. The training will also support the organisation’s “statutory defence” in the event of a harassment claim being raised.

  • Understanding protected characteristics
  • Understanding direct and indirect forms of discrimination
  • Understanding harassment and victimisation
  • Reasonable adjustments explained
  • Employers’ and individuals’ liability explained
  • How to prevent discrimination in the workplace
  • How to raise and deal with discrimination concerns

Course duration and timings

This half-day course can be arranged for up to 12 delegates. We can deliver this session on site or virtually.

A more in-depth one-day session can also be delivered on site.
