Compensation in disability discrimination cases can be substantial. The average amount awarded by Employment Tribunals in 2022/23 was £45,435, up from £26,172 in 2021/22. Despite this, many managers don’t fully understand their responsibilities and the associated risks.
Our Managing Disabilities in the Workplace training course aims to help delegates understand their legal obligations, while equipping them with the skills to support employees and foster a more inclusive workplace environment.

What is the definition of ‘disabled’ under the Equality Act 2010 and how do Employment Tribunals apply this definition in trickier cases?
The different types of disability discrimination under the Equality Act
Providing support to employees with disabilities, including the duty to make reasonable adjustments
The role of Occupational Health advice and key considerations to bear in mind
Dealing with performance and conduct issues where a health condition is potentially a factor
Managing disability-related absences
Inclusive language related to health/disabilities

This half-day course is available for up to 12 delegates and can be delivered in-person or virtually, depending on your needs.
