Interpreting the CQC’s New Framework | what you need to know

Concerned about how the Care Quality Commission’s (CQC) new quantitative approach to scoring, evidence categories and quality statements will impact your organisation?

Join Care 4 Quality’s Head of Registrations and former CQC Inspector, Julie Walton, and WorkNest’s Health & Safety Regional Manager, Ross Henderson, for this informative live one-hour webinar.

Learn how to interpret the latest CQC guidance, the fundamental differences between the old and new framework, and the steps providers should take now to proactively prepare for these changes.

15 November, 11.00 am - 12.00 pm

Overview

From 21 November 2023, the CQC will start to use its new single assessment framework in the South region. Ahead of this date, and prior to the framework being rolled out more widely, many health and social care providers will have questions and concerns about the impact on their organisation.

If you’re still not sure which of your current practices can be easily transferred to meet the new assessment’s requirements, what new expectations you will need to meet to satisfy the regulator, or the main advantages and disadvantages of the new model, be sure to tune into this free informative one-hour webinar.

What's on the agenda?

During this interactive session, our experts will offer some much-needed clarity on the following areas:

  • Comparing old and new: what elements of the CQC’s strategy have been retained, what has changed, and what will no longer apply? Plus, is it really fundamentally different?
  • New single assessment framework: how will it be fairly applied across all settings? Where will discretion and proportionality be used? And what has yet to be explained?
  • New terminology: do you know your quality statements from your KLOEs? Our hosts will unpack what the new terminology actually means and provide comparison examples.
  • Pros and cons: how will the new scoring system, evidence categories, and continuous assessment model improve outcomes for providers? Plus, when might some providers be disadvantaged and where are the gaps in information?
  • Health and safety compliance: how will these changes impact your approach to health and safety for your staff, residents, patients and visitors?

Have a question?

As always, we’ll aim to answer as many of your questions as possible in a live Q&A at the end of the session. Please submit your questions in advance via the registration form so that our hosts can review them ahead of time.
