Colleague Spotlight
Jess Bushby, HR Consultant
Hi, I’m Jess, and I joined WorkNest (formerly HR Services Partnership) as an HR Consultant in April 2021. Prior to this, I have eight years’ experience working in a variety of HR roles, ranging from business partnering to project management.
I proudly achieved my MSc in Human Resource Management with distinction in 2018. My dissertation focused on females working in a modern corporate environment and their experiences of part-time working in a ‘full-time world’ – a topic which I remain passionate about.
I’m a generalist at heart, but I most enjoy projects that allow me to be analytical and delve into reward and recognition. Building relationships with my clients is the most rewarding part of my role and having the opportunity to immerse myself in their world and what makes their business run. I love the variety this role gives me, and whilst this can create a challenge by highlighting just how broad our profession can be, no two days are the same!
In my life before HR, I’ve worked as an operational people manager, which piqued my interest to venture into this profession to engage, motivate and train employees to best deliver the organisation’s strategic objectives and ambitions in a way which is meaningful for them.
I live on the south coast with my husband and our mischievous fox-red labrador, Wilson. And yes, we do love shouting his name across fields, especially when there’s no dog in sight!

We moved our legal support to WorkNest (formerly Law at Work) having previously used a time and line law firm. It was important, though, that an all-inclusive fee structure did not come at the expense of quality. Thankfully we’ve been delighted with the service we’ve received from WorkNest.”
