Join WorkNest and barristers from 3PB for a FREE interactive Mock Employment Tribunal. This unique, half-day event will immerse you in the tribunal process, allowing you to observe and even participate in a realistic Final Hearing.

What to expect
This Mock Tribunal will focus on the fictional case of Ali Taylor v Pontypandy Estates Ltd, where claims of constructive unfair dismissal, direct sex discrimination, harassment related to sex, and victimisation will be tested.
See how evidence is presented, experience cross-examination unfolding and listen to the arguments presented on both sides.
This immersive event offers a rare opportunity to:
- See how employment tribunal hearings play out in practice.
- Gain insight into how cases of this nature are handled.
- Participate in a realistic tribunal simulation.
- Learn about common pitfalls when giving evidence.
Event programme
12.00 – 1.00 pm – Registration, buffet lunch and networking
1.00 – 1.15 pm – Welcome and introduction
1.15 – 3.15 pm – Mock tribunal commences:
- Judge to go over preliminary issues
- Claimant to give evidence
- Respondent’s witnesses to give evidence
3.15 – 3.30 pm – Refreshment break
3.30 – 4.15 pm – Mock tribunal continues
- Representatives make their submissions
- Around-the-room discussion to share thoughts on the findings of fact and judgment
4.15 – 4.30 pm – Judgment including Remedy (if appropriate!)
4.30 – 5.00 pm – Questions and close
5.00 – 6.30 pm – Networking event with refreshments – your opportunity to join WorkNest and barristers from 3PB to continue the conversation, connect with peers, and ask any further questions.

There is a B4 car park a short walk away from chambers.
Birmingham New Street station is a 15 minute walk away from 3PB's Birmingham chambers. Snow Hill station is a 3 minute walk away from 3PB's Birmingham chambers.

This event is completely free to attend, and refreshments and lunch are included. Please let us know of any dietary requirements.

1. Everyone who signs up for the event will receive the bundle, list of issues and witness statements seven days prior to the event. Please ensure that you familiarise yourself with these to get the most out of the experience.
2. Photography and video production may take place at the event and these images may be used for marketing purposes by WorkNest Group and 3PB.
