Colleague Spotlight
Rob Young, Principal Health & Safety Consultant
Rob's background
Rob is one of WorkNest’s Principal Health & Safety Consultants. He joined the team in April 2017, but has a long career within the health and safety industry having started in 1992.
Rob has a background in the chemical industry after working in various laboratories, before moving into Quality Management, and taking on Health & Safety duties.
He has worked in a wide variety of industries including pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, water treatment, the oil industry in China, hospitals and facilities management.
As well as health & safety assessments, Rob also carries out Fire Risk Assessments and delivers IOSH accredited Health & Safety training.
He really enjoys working with clients to produce practical solutions to Health & Safety issues using not only his own work experience, but also that of his fellow consultants who hail from a wide variety of backgrounds.
When Rob is not working, he loves running (taking part in the very occasional marathon), walking in the countryside and going to the concerts of bands and artists whose tickets cost him less than £5 first time around, and also watching football.

We moved our legal support to WorkNest (formerly Law at Work) having previously used a time and line law firm. It was important, though, that an all-inclusive fee structure did not come at the expense of quality. Thankfully we’ve been delighted with the service we’ve received from WorkNest.”
