Colleague Spotlight
Ian Watson, Health & Safety Regional Manager ( Scotland)
Ian's background
Hi, I’m Ian. I joined WorkNest (formally WorkNest) in December 2015 as a Health & Safety Consultant and have progressed into a Regional Manager role looking after a team of consultants in Scotland.
I moved into Health & Safety as a career after leaving the Royal Navy where I was a Helicopter Engineer and spending a couple of years in construction and facilities management.
I’ve always enjoyed the variation in the role of a Health & Safety Consultant, no two days are the same with the range of clients we have. I’ve travelled the length & breadth of Scotland including being as far away as Shetland & Orkney.
When I’m not working I can be found riding my mountain bike down Munros, paddling through the wilds of Scotland or building Lego with my boys.
Ian’s qualifications
BA in Occupational Health and Safety Management
NEBOSH National Diploma in Environmental Management
NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
HABC Level 3 Award in Supervising Food Safety in Catering
City & Guilds Level 3 - Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment

We moved our legal support to WorkNest (formerly Law at Work) having previously used a time and line law firm. It was important, though, that an all-inclusive fee structure did not come at the expense of quality. Thankfully we’ve been delighted with the service we’ve received from WorkNest.”
