Promoting a healthy workplace is essential for businesses, and with *51% of work-related ill health being caused by stress depression and anxiety, which resulted in 17 million workdays being lost during the 2021/2022 period, it is fast becoming a huge cause for concern.
We hope you will join us for this session to help give a better understanding of how to approach mental health at work.
The course will be delivered by Principal Consultant Andy Hooke, who is a Chartered Health and Safety Practitioner and also an accredited first aid for mental health instructor who has real hands-on experience of supporting organisations across a broad sector
The workshop will cover the following topics:
Learning objectives
To better understand mental health and how it can impact our colleagues, but also our family and friends. Know how to spot when something isn’t right and how we can approach it to provide support and onward signposting. The session also aims to equip you with useful knowledge to help you stay on the right side of the law with regard to managing in a work environment.
Who should attend?
This course is aimed at directors, managers and supervisors, particularly those who manage people day to day at work. Employee representatives should also find it helpful.
Method of delivery
This course is delivered online using Teams. Joining instructions and all learning materials will be sent out electronically.
Duration
The workshop is expected to last approximately 4 hrs with natural breaks throughout. It’s a morning session which will finish in time for lunch.
