Partnership is at the heart of everything we do. We work closely with tens of thousands of organisations nationwide with one clear purpose: enabling employers to manage their workforce, workplace and workflow effectively, efficiently and compliantly.
So it’s appropriate that we ourselves are the result of partnership and synergy. A meeting of many different but complementary teams of talented people. Over recent years, a wealth of the leading lights in our various fields of expertise have joined forces.
Our roots go back to 2001, when Malcolm MacKay founded Law At Work, providing the employment law expertise of a legal firm, but without the prohibitive pricing. LAW gradually strengthened its offering with the acquisition of Square Circle HR, employee relations consultancy Empire, Solve HR and Deminos Consulting.
Mark Ellis founded Ellis Whittam in 2004 with an equally revolutionary mission: to provide high quality employment law, HR, and health and safety services for businesses that add value not cost, and are based on fair, fixed fees.
In 2019/20, both became part of Marlowe plc, the leaders in business-critical services and software. Since then, a number of other like-minded businesses have been added to this team:
Now we are bringing all these businesses together under the WorkNest brand.
From Monday 4th October, Ellis Whittam, Law At Work and HRSP will be rebrand. Our sister companies, Youmanage and esphr will co-brand. With the other companies remaining as they are.
This rebrand is a trading name change only; the legal entities remain as they are, so client contracts are not impacted.
Our purpose is to empower employers with preventative and proactive services covering employment law, HR and occupational health, safety and wellbeing. The personal, high quality, and responsive services that our clients know and love will remain at the heart of what we do. But as WorkNest, we weave together a broader range of services that will help you to further protect and nurture your organisation.
As well as choosing a name that captured the essence of what we do, we also recognised that in our markets it can be difficult for prospective clients to initially differentiate between providers as we often all initially look and feel the same. We wanted to chose an identity that would stand out.
No, the services you receive and the people you deal with will not change. Our team structures and your day-to-day contacts remain as they are. This is a change of brand name only, with the hope that it makes it easier for you to take advantage of wider services that we now offer.
There will be no change to contracts with the brand name change. The legal entity you contract with currently will remain the same. Your terms and conditions will remain the same.
There will be no change to banking details with the brand name change. The legal entity you contract with currently will remain the same. Invoices will also continue to be sent from the legacy brand name, as the WorkNest brand does not comprise any change to the trading entities of Ellis Whittam, Law at Work or HRSP.
Existing clients should speak to your account manager. Alternatively, your service deliver contact should also be able to answer any questions you may have. For anyone else, please call us on 0345 226 8393.
www.worknest.com will replace the previous Ellis Whittam, Law At Work and HRSP websites, but all of the content you used, plus more, will still be available and you will be automatically redirected to the new pages.
Law At Work clients will continue to be able to access the resources hosted on the client area of the LAW website through the log-in on worknest.com. Note that login details have not changed.
If you are an Ellis Whittam client, MyEW will be rebranded to myWorkNest, but access credentials will not change.
If you are a Law at Work client, you will continue to use the client area of the Law at Work website. You can access this via Log in | Law At Work or from the Login button on the worknest.com website.
If you are an HRSP client, there will be no change to how you accessed documentation previously.
That’s great news that you’re already using a number of our services independently. Our legal entities are not changing so invoices will continue to be sent from the legacy brand names. However, please contact your account manager to discuss if there is a better way to structure your contract and bring these services together.
