Women in Tech – International Women’s Day

Here at Bulletproof we’re proud to support International Women’s Day and this year’s #ChooseToChallenge campaign. Over 100 years since the first International Women’s Day, each year the day gives us an opportunity to celebrate women’s achievements and shape the future workplace by broadening the aspirations and horizons of young women everywhere.

The demand for women in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) is a key issue to us at Bulletproof. Only 3% of young women say a career in technology is their first choice, and so a change needs to come in order to tackle this unnecessary imbalance of women in tech.

The culture at Bulletproof is one that encourages inclusivity and celebrates diversity, and this starts at the top. Our CEO and Co-Founder, Oliver Pinson-Roxburgh, has this to say about International Women’s Day’s #ChooseToChallenge campaign:

On this International Women’s Day, we want to #ChooseToChallenge by fuelling a passion for tech in young women and highlighting that tech is a force for good. To do this we spoke to some of our very own women at Bulletproof about their experiences of working in a technology based industry.

You spend one third of your day working, so spend it in a job that you love and feel heard. These women are only a few of the tremendous women we have across Bulletproof, and as part of our commitment to improve inclusion in tech, we hope this blog has helped you see that a career in tech can be anyone’s game.
