Exactly three months after being put into lockdown, and much to the delight of the British public, hairdressers and barbers have now been added to the government’s list of OK-to-open businesses from 4 July.
With less than two weeks to make your final preparations, our Director of Legal Services, James Tamm, and Director of Health and Safety Services, Nick Wilson, will be joining forces with National Hair & Beauty Federation CEO, Hilary Hall, to dissect all the major talking points and help you to reactivate your salon confidently and compliantly.
With a long list of lockdown-loosening changes announced, including the two-metre rule being trimmed down to “one metre plus”, our panel of industry and legal experts will be exploring what this means for your business and what steps you will need to take ahead of time to really hit the ground running.
From a health and safety perspective, we will be exploring employers’ legal duties, the newly-released government guidance and the practical risk control measures required to make your salon COVID-secure. From an employment perspective, we will be offering practical advice on reintroducing staff to the workplace and, if necessary, utilising the flexible furlough scheme for those who will remain at home either full-time or partially.
There will also be an opportunity to submit your questions to our experts, so make sure to join us mid-week to get your urgent queries answered and minimise any delay to getting your business back on track.
